Alison has played the piano since 1981,
at the age of six. She grew up studying classically in West Virginia, working with renowned instructors and performers in the state and competing in concerto and other competitions. She received a B.A. in Music from Indiana University in 1998. Her classical training was only the beginning, however, as she now is a professional musician performing all genres. Her first CD, Renaissance, will be released in the spring of 2010.
Alison's music may remind you of
George Winston or David Lanz.
Alison's musical pursuits have been focused on performing since moving to the Cincinnati area in early 2008, although she has a private studio of voice and piano students as well. Her venues include Music Hall, The Aronoff, The Precinct (A Jeff Ruby Restaurant), The Taft Museum of Art, and Receptions Conference Centers. Currently Alison is a house pianist at Vito's Cafe in Ft. Thomas, KY and performs regularly with her acoustic ensemble, Chemistry. She has been married for almost fifteen years to Jeff and is the mother of two daughters.
Born and raised on the West side of Cincinnati, where family values and doing what's right are most important, Matt's down home upbringing is reflected in the songs that he plays. With over 100 songs in his growing repertoire, Matt can rock out or mellow out depending on the venue and the mood of the audience.
Matt has played guitar for over 20 years and has been singing for more than ten, has pursued a degree in jazz saxophone at UC's College of Conservatory of Music, and is now working as a professional musician. You can find Matt playing in many venues around greater Cincinnati, on his own as a solo act, with his acoustic band Martini Sunrise, and with his acoustic trio, Chemistry. If he's not playing out, he's playing at home with his two adorable toddlers or hanging out with his wife.
Rebecca Bohmer: Vocals
Rebecca has been singing and performing music since she was six years old. Her natural ability to sing has matured into a salty alto that lends a current, soulful spin to any genre. Born in Michigan and raised in the Chicago, IL area, Rebecca played classical piano for many years, achieving a number of awards for State competitions. She began serious vocal studies in early 2000 with professional voice coaches in Cincinnati.
Rebecca spent 18 years working for a Fortune 50 company, serving in many positions throughout her career in corporate sales and marketing. Due to this lengthy experience, she maintains a large network of corporate contacts throughout the OH, KY, IN, IL, MI area (this has proven helpful for sophisticated lounges/restaurants who thrive on corporate events). She now plays live music regularly with her acoustic band Martini Sunrise, and her acoustic trio Chemistry. Rebecca serves as the main booking contact for these bands.
